What We Do

WE TEACH THE SKILLS THAT MAKE OTHER SKILLS WORK

Access to basic opportunity should not depend on where you were born, what school you attended, or what opportunities you happened to inherit._ Chiagoziem Adindu

1 in 4 young people globally were estimated to be neither in employment, education nor training in 2025. At the same time, 39% of workers’ core skills are expected to change by 2030, while 63% of employers already identify skills gaps as a major barrier to transformation.

That is the gap ETCIO exists to close.

We expand access to the social, professional and life skills that equip people—particularly those facing barriers to education and employment—to learn, work, lead and thrive.

Our work connects:

EDUCATION → EMPLOYMENT → LEADERSHIP → COMMUNITY → SYSTEMS

ETCIO is committed to empowering individuals and communities facing barriers to education, employment and economic opportunity, by expanding access to the social, professional and life skills that help them learn, earn, lead and thrive.

From out-of-school children and underserved youth to job seekers, domestic workers and low-income communities, we create pathways from potential to capability, learning to livelihood, and exclusion to participation.

YOUTH SOCIAL SKILLS & LIFE READINESS

Leadership Bootcamp For Tweens and Teens

Preparing Young People for Life Beyond the Classroom.

Through ETCIO’s Teens & Tweens Etiquette Bootcamp, young people developed the social intelligence, confidence, communication, character and everyday etiquette needed to navigate increasingly complex social environments. Learning moved beyond instruction into practice, culminating in the Mr. Gentleman & Miss Graceful Social Skills Showcase—an experiential platform where participants demonstrated the competencies they had developed.

WORKFORCE AND EMPLOYER DEVELOPMENT

ETCIO works across the employment relationship—from leadership and management to employees and frontline workers—to strengthen the social and professional skills that make workplaces work better.

Our interventions address the everyday behaviours that are often expected but rarely taught: business etiquette, workplace communication, email etiquette, professional conduct, networking, interpersonal relationships, shared-space etiquette, leadership, conflict management and workplace culture.

Technical skills may qualify people for the work, but social skills influence how well the work is done.

Our emerging workforce-development pathway is advancing the professionalization of domestic and care work by strengthening practical competence, professionalism, communication and workplace readiness.

Now in its third cohort, our employer-employee focused learning strengthens the practices that shape healthier domestic workplaces—from communication and expectations to boundaries, conflict management and responsible employment.

Dignified work requires more than access to employment. It requires people who are prepared to succeed at work and employers who are prepared to create environments where they can thrive. So ETCIO strengthens both sides of the employment relationship—building worker readiness while equipping employers to create workplaces grounded in clarity, professionalism, respect, communication and dignity.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND SOCIAL IMPACT

In Nigeria, 2 in 3 children live in multidimensional poverty, limiting access to essentials including quality education.

Globally, 1 in 4 young people aged 15–24 were projected to be outside employment, education or training in 2025, with vulnerability often greater in rural communities.

ETCIO takes learning where opportunity does not always reach—equipping underserved youth, out-of-school children, rural and low-income communities, and people facing barriers to employment with practical social, life and professional skills.

Because where someone starts should not determine how far they are equipped to go.

4. LEADERSHIP & LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

ETCIO10

Preparing people not simply to succeed, but to lead themselves and others well.

The Gap
Leadership begins long before a title. Yet many of the skills that shape responsible decision-making, relationships, self-management and influence are left to informal learning.

What We Do
We create values-based learning experiences that strengthen self-awareness, communication, emotional intelligence, character, confidence, etiquette, conflict resolution, decision-making and responsible leadership.
